What should I bring with me to the workshop?
You should absolutely bring your own images to work on while you are at the workshop. It is easiest to bring your images stored on a small external hard drive but you may also bring them stored on a flash drive, CD or DVD. All of the computers have USB 2 and firewire 400 connections as well as CD/DVD burners. You may also want to bring your own laptop and camera equipment.

Can I burn CD’s or DVD’s of the images I work on while at the workshop?
Absolutely, you will want to take the images that you worked on in class home with you. Also feel free to take any o the images that we use as examples in class home so that you can practice the exercises.

How do I know which class to take?
This is a tough question. It is hard to define what makes a class beginning intermediate or advanced. The beginner class is designed for people who own Photoshop and have tried it. You may have an idea what layers are but rarely use them. Intermediate students should know what layers are and should be using or at least understand what adjustment layers are. The intermediate class reviews much of what is in the beginning class but takes each step further and it moves faster so that we can move on to new topics. The beginning class is designed to teach you the tools and adjustments that a photographer needs to know. The intermediate and print classes are designed to teach you more about the tools but more importantly how to use them to adjust images. Not only are the technical aspects of Photoshop discussed, but we spend more time talking about the aesthetic side of adjusting and printing images. Just like using a wet darkroom it is easy to teach someone how to mix chemicals, develop film and expose and develop a photograph.

Should I bring my camera gear?
Absolutely! Even though these classes are intense you may want to take a break and shoot some local images. The local countryside can provide lots of photographic opportunities and we are only an hour away from the Poconos and the Delaware Water Gap.

I am a Mac user. Can I bring my own laptop?
Any Mac or windows user can bring their own computer to work on. I have a dual core Macbook pro available for anyone who wants to work on a Mac. Personally I do not have an operating system preference. The only reason that most of my computers are windows is because that is what most people are familiar with.
